Not Costello Again!

There’s no surprise that Peter Costello is vying for the Liberal leadership again but Australians let us not forget that Costello supports Work Choices. These choices make it easier for companies to take away more power from employees, leaving workers with little entitlements.
We can be forced to work longer hours with no overtime payments, not being able to take time off work when we need to for ourselves or for our family and basically have no life outside of work.
There needs to be a work/life balance for us to function properly and enjoy life. This is when employees would be more valuable to their workplaces because they would be a lot happier to work there when they are given a fair go.
With Work Choices, it would be even harder to attract staff to the more stressful industries as people would opt to choose to work in industries that the workload is not extreme.
Of course, Kevin Rudd would not be worried about Costello knocking back the multi-million dollar job in the hope of taking over the Liberal leadership. Rudd flogged Costello and Howard at the last election. Rudd knows that Australians do not want Work Choices. We want a fair go.
